The purpose of this position is to oversee daily operations on site and supervise subcontractors and labour, to ensure that the projects are completed in a safe manner and on time, within budget and to specification. This includes supervising subcontractor teams on site and acting as a conduit between site and management, whilst ensuring adherence to all relevant regulatory requirements.

- Ensure all projects and work breakdown schedules (WBS) are planned efficiently and effectively
- Prepare, review and send Daily and weekly reports to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure stock is accurately and proactively ordered in a timely manner
- Ensure subcontractors are using material according to standard or drawing.
- Ensure stock or material is up to standard and used in the right ways.
- Ensure subcontractors work is performed to schedule
- Ensure all projects are completed on time by tracking against milestones
- Ensure costs are being tracked continuously
- Ensure project budgets are managed to standards
- Ensure Labour budgets are managed to standard
- Ensure equipment is used according to schedule in line with budgets
- Ensure minimal wastages on site
- Raise concerns timeously with management
- Conduct and coordinate safety and risk inspections and audits
- Oversee and review health and safety documentation and data.
- Lead the investigation of accidents and injuries and cooperate in the preparation of material for hearings and insurance investigations.
- Ensure equipment and tools are inspected
- Ensure appropriate Personal Protective Equipment is readily available and worn by employees
- Ensure good housekeeping practices are implemented
- Ensure hazardous waste is removed safely from site
- Attend Health and Safety Audits
- Action findings from Health and safety Audits
- Ensure subcontractors are using the right pathways/drawings and that works are done according to drawing
- Conduct quality inspections including, but not limited to: Check lists, Wet trades, Spot checks, Concrete work, Gauges and levels, Sign offs

- Monitor workmanship and materials used
- Ensuring work performed meets project specifications and standards
- Identity non-conformances and rectify
- Ensure adherence to all relevant legislation and regulatory requirements
Qualification and Experience:
- Grade 12
- National Diploma: Construction Management
- 5 - 10 years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent understanding of a Corporate / Construction environment
- Excellent knowledge Construction methodologies, principles, systems, processes and procedures
- Excellent knowledge of SABS, NBR, NHBRC and H&S standards and other relevant legislative and regulatory requirements
- Customer Service
